Adriana Espinosa

With a lifelong passion for early childhood education,

Mrs. Adriana Espinosa began her journey as an educator in 1986 when she established her first preschool in Colombia. Recognizing the growing importance of bilingualism, she brought her expertise to the U.S. and founded Pasitos Felices Bilingual Immersion Preschool in May 2007.

She started as the director and a teacher of the 3–5-year-olds in 2008. She has an Early Childhood Administration Credential Level 3, and a bachelors degree in early childhood Level 1. Adriana loves working with children, she uses her knowledge and education to contribute to the educational and emotional development of the children. Personally, she is a proud mother of 3 young boys (Mateo, Jacob, and Miguel Angel) and a wife to Juan Carlos Echeverry, that works in the Chapel Hill Carrboro City School.

For the past 17 years, Mrs. Espinosa has been dedicated to creating a nurturing, language-rich environment where young learners thrive. Under her leadership, Pasitos Felices has flourished into a vibrant preschool serving 60+ students, with exciting plans for continued growth. Her commitment to fostering bilingual proficiency and cultural appreciation ensures that each child builds a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
